FarStone Introduces Virtual Class 3 with Patent-Pending Keypad

IRVINE, CA — November 19, 2002 — FarStone Technology has released Virtual Class 3.0, the latest version of its multimedia broadcast software. Virtual Class 3 introduces a keypad that simplifies the remote teaching process.

“All of the commands are clearly labeled on the Virtual Class keypad,” said FarStone CEO Thomas Lin. “Teachers will love this new feature because it requires no technical training.”

With a Manufacturer’s Suggested Education Price of $899 for an unlimited site license, Virtual Class is much less expensive than comparable hardware systems, which can cost up to $5,000 for a 25-user computer lab.

About Virtual Class

Virtual Class is a multimedia broadcast solution that creates a virtual classroom over a local area network (LAN). The software allows the instructor to broadcast data to all students on the network and monitor their students’ progress. A new keypad offers further ease of use and freedom from the instructor console.
