Electrovaya to Bundle VirtualDrive®

Canadian tablet PC maker will offer FarStone VirtualDrive software with its Scribbler Tablet PC

IRVINE, CA — December 20, 2002 — Electrovaya, Canada, has signed an agreement to bundle FarStone’s VirtualDrive CD emulator with its Scribbler tablet PCs. The bundled software will allow Scribbler users to run CD-DVD-ROM applications on their hard drives.

“The reason VirtualDrive is so valuable to tablet PC users is that tablet PCs do not have an internal CD drive,” said Roger Hudritsch, FarStone’s Director of OEM and Channel Sales. “VirtualDrive eliminates the inconvenience of having to carry around a portable CD drive, cables, CDs, and possibly a power cube.”

Electrovaya, which makes Tablet PCs with a long-lasting Lithium Ion SuperPolymer battery, is the second tablet PC maker in as many months to to bundle VirtualDrive. The Scribbler runs 8 to 16 hours, tops in the laptop computer and Tablet PC industry. VirtualDrive further enhances the Scribbler’s convenience by allowing users to run CD-DVD-ROM programs directly on their tablet PCs.
