Virtual Class™ Enhances Learning in Chicago-Area Schools
IRVINE, CA — March 3, 2003 — FarStone Technology’s Virtual Class remote teaching solution is receiving good grades from students and teachers alike in some Chicago-area schools. East Aurora School District #131 has implemented Virtual Class in all 26 of its computer labs.
“The ability to be able to broadcast to the students what I am doing on my computer has greatly improved the teaching process,” said John Gaspar, a computer lab teacher at Waldo Middle School in this district. “I love being able to monitor what my students are doing on their computers.”
“The students like the fact that they can see the actual demonstration on their monitors,” Gaspar continued.
East Aurora School District #131 includes 12 elementary schools, three middle schools, one senior high school, and two alternative schools, all of which maintain at least one computer lab. More information on the East Aurora School District is available on the district’s web site.
