Mirus Ship PCs with DriveClone System Recovery Software

Mirus Innovations incorporates FarStone’s system recovery software in its desktop and laptop computer

IRVINE, CA — June 6, 2007 — Mirus Innovations PCs equipped with Windows XP and Vista are shipping with FarStone DriveClone System Recovery software. Mirus becomes the latest system builder to deploy DriveClone System Recovery, which restores PCs following system loss. Still another version of DriveClone System Recovery will be installed on Mirus Linux systems.

“FarStone’s DriveClone System Recovery was easy to integrate into our systems and required no change in our manufacturing process,” said Richard Shyu, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Mirus. “FarStone’s solution will give our customers an easy way to recover their systems without having to contact technical support.“

DriveClone System Recovery lets a system builder multicast a single configuration, including a factory backup image, across multiple systems before they are sealed. Customers can access the backup image later through a user-friendly interface and recover almost immediately from software-related data disasters. Customers can save their system image to DVD, a network share, or an external hard drive for recovery from hard drive failure as well.

DriveClone System Recovery’s internal backup component automatically records snapshots of an entire system and stores them as backup points in a hidden partition of the hard drive. DriveClone System Recovery continues to operate in pre-OS mode even when Windows will not boot.
