TotalDeploy Frequently Asked Questions

When I deployed multipl computers from the image on the network, the speed was very slow. Why?

Deploy the image on the network will occupy network bandwidth, and then slower the deploy speed. So we strongly suggest users copy the image to TotalDeploy Console to run deploy process.

After finishing deployment, I found that one of my computers has not been deployed. why?

Two kinds of sutuation:

  1. The deploy speed of that computer is relatively slow. In the deploy process, in order to guarantee the speed of the whole delpyment job, the machine which hold the deploy speed less than 1M/s will be canceled from the delployment.
Uers can adjust the acceptable slowest speed by revising configuration files.
Revise configuration files: find the current directory of the program, the file named ReliableMulticast.ini. Users can revise the parameter MinimumNetworkSpeed = 1024.
  2. TotalDeploy canceled to deploy machines with instable network. In order to guarantee the speed of the whole delpyment job, the machine which failed to Connected for 5 times will be canceled from the delployment.
Uers can adjust the connected times by revising configuration files.
Revise configuration files: find the current directory of the program, the file named ReliableMulticast.ini. Users can revise the parameter ReconnectionNum = 5.

When start Client computers, how to add drives?

To different hardwares, users need to find corresponding Vista 32 bit drives and add them.

After deployment, the target computers keep the partition size of the image, not original size, why?

TotalDeploy of this version do not support resize partition. So we suggest users make master image according to the target computers' partition.
