  • The ports used by VCDT 2.x are blocked by firewall. Please allow connections on those ports
  • If the Apache port is not being set to 80, then you will be required to enter the port in the Browser. For example, port 3333 is being used for Apache: http://192.168.0.188:3333
  • The ports used by VCDT 2.x conflict with other system services. Please run /usr/local/cdserver/bin/vcdtconf to fix the conflict.

This problem might be caused due to improper network connection settings. VCDT 2.x creates an image by file://address. You will have to ensure that the port used by VCDT 2.x is opened.

  • If you are a LAN client:
Please verify whether you can visit VirtualTower from the Windows via NetBios. If you cannot, please ask your network administrator to open the NetBIOS(Samba) port (137, 138, 139).
  • If you are a WAN user:
Please verify whether you can visit VirtualTower from the Windows via NetBios. If you cannot visit the VirtualTower, then the problem might be on the Internet Router.

Why is the access speed getting slower?

Following are some of the factors that may influence the access speed:

  • Log file is too big.
  • Disk space is close to full.
  • Too many fragmented files on the disk.
  • The size of the block where the image is located.
